The light novel Isekai no Sata wa Shachiku Shidai (The Other World's Books Depend on the Bean Counter) by Wakatsu Yatsuki is set to receive an anime adaptation. Published since 2019 with illustrations by Kikka Ohashi, the series has reached 1.4 million copies in circulation. This boys' love story follows Seiichirou, a workaholic accountant transported to another world, where he works in the Royal Accounting Department. A unique relationship forms between him and Commander Aresh, who aids Seiichirou in managing his exhausting workload.
